I don’t want to give my bank details over the phone
It is important you feel comfortable when setting up your life insurance policy.
At Protect Line we do not request your long debit card or credit card number, which can be charged without notice. Instead we only ask for your bank account number and sort-code. With this information we are able to set-up a direct debit payment request.
A direct debit is an instruction to your bank or building society to let an organisation take money from your account. However, the organisation must tell you in advance (usually ten working days) how much they will take, when, and how often. If they do not, or an amount is taken from your account in error, the insurance provider or your bank / building society will pay any incorrect payments back to you in full. This is because you are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. Direct debits are one of the safest and most secure forms of payment in the United Kingdom.
If you would prefer to provide your bank details by post, this may be an option. Please relay this request to our insurance specialists who will be able to assist you.
You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting to your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify Protect Line if you have done this.
