In Britain, life admin often takes a backseat, with tasks like life insurance, writing wills, and managing credit card bills frequently postponed. Recent research* highlights that arranging life insurance takes the average Brit over ten months, with some leaving it on their to-do list for up to two years.

Feeling overwhelmed by administrative tasks is common, with 63% of Brits feeling burdened and half delaying important jobs due to the intimidation of paperwork. This challenge is particularly strong among Gen Z, with 87% finding such tasks daunting.

Time constraints are a major obstacle, with 35% of people citing a lack of time as a barrier to completing essential tasks. Additionally, 43% of Brits would consider hiring a personal assistant if it were financially feasible, highlighting the struggle to manage these responsibilities alone. Despite this, many continue to view life insurance as non-essential, with over a third of those without it considering it a low priority.

Protect Line CEO David Brewer emphasises the importance of prioritising life insurance amidst daily responsibilities. “Securing your family’s future should be a top priority. Taking action today ensures peace of mind and financial security for your loved ones.”

To make tackling these tasks easier, try breaking them into smaller, manageable steps. Consider setting aside short, focused periods of time to work on them, taking breaks in between to maintain motivation. These straightforward techniques can help make the process feel less overwhelming and more achievable.
