Life insurance prices are based on a couple of key factors including your age and medical history. The rule of thumb with life insurance is that itโs generally cheaper the younger and healthier you are. Insurers base their prices on your risk profile โ the lower the chances of you dying within the policy term, the cheaper your premiums will be. If you are older and/or have certain medical conditions, then insurers will consider you a higher risk and your premiums will reflect this.
ย
Unfortunately, Protect Line has no control over what the life insurance providers charge and how they rate certain medical conditions over others. However, we will do all we can to work with you to find the right plan and provider for you.
ย
If you are worried that an illness or medical condition will affect the cost of your life insurance by too much, if you are aged between 50 and 80 there is the option to explore a non-medically underwritten application. You will not receive as high a payout as a medically underwritten one, but at least you will have some protection in place.ย Find out more about Life Insurance for Over 50s.
